Tylenol Lawsuit

Tylenol (acetaminophen) is a popular over-the-counter medication for pain relief and fever—and it’s now been associated with an increased risk of developing developmental disorders in children who were exposed to acetaminophen during pregnancy.

The disorders primarily reported in connection with Tylenol use include Autism Spectrum Disorder (“ASD”) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (“ADHD”).

Research has shown that the children of women who took Tylenol and other medications containing acetaminophen (like NyQuil, DayQuil, or Excedrin) during pregnancy experienced elevated risks of autism.

This research pointed to a 20% higher risk of autism and a 30% higher risk of ADHD for children who had prolonged exposure to acetaminophen in the womb.

Based on this research, lawsuits are being filed claiming that the manufacturers failed to warn consumers of the risks associated with using these drugs during pregnancy.
